Nursing Department FAQ

Q: When will I be assigned an academic advisor?

A: Early in the fall semester you will be assigned a department faculty member to serve as your academic program advisor.  The name and email contact for your advisor will appear on your PAWS account in early September.  At the department orientation on August 29th you will receive instructions and advice for working with your advisor.  However, if you have academic related questions over the summer, your Department Chair, Program Assistant or Assistant Dean are available.  Please click here to complete our Department Contact Form to submit your question.

Q:When is my academic department orientation session scheduled?

A: The department orientation will be held on Monday, August 29, 2016.  You will be receiving an email and/or announcement regarding this orientation session.  The orientation session will review your first semester sequence, course enrollment, department policies and procedures as well as faculty and staff introductions.

Q:  How do I find out about department procedures and policies?

A:  In the middle of August,  the department will send you an email with a link to the department policies and procedures.  You will be required to read the document and digitally sign that you have complied with the document review.  Failure to do this will result with a hold which will prevent you from enrolling in your next term classes.

Q: When will my transfer credits be reviewed?

A: Your transfer credits will be reviewed before you are enrolled in classes.  If you feel that your credits have not transferred correctly, please contact Admissions or Records and Registration.  Click here to learn more about transfer credits.

Q: How do I login to my PAWS account.

A: Click here to review the PAWS documentation.

Q:  Who do I contact regarding non-academic questions?

A:  Contact Lindsay Barndt, Director of Student Transitions – Office of Student Transitions, Division of Student Affairs at  studenttransitions@tcnj.edu

Q:  What if my question was not answered here?

A: Click here to complete our Department Contact Form to submit your question.
