The Student Nurse Association has had a busy Fall Semester. The focus of the organization has always been community service and this year is no different. The year began before the first meeting with helping the Trenton area school nurses distribute book bags and supplies. The goal is to expand this relationship in the future. SNA helps staff the Ewing Township Flu Shot Clinics not only by having students give the injections but also to help process the paperwork. The most recent activities centered on two collection drives: one for the Trenton Area Soup Kitchen and included personal hygiene items as well as food and the second was to support the nursing department’s trip to Haiti this January with needed items. There was also a mock interview day with faculty members and Career Services. Next semester will include more community service as well as panels which hopefully will include alumni.
