About Dr. Mary Ann Dugan

Dr. Mary Ann Dugan is an Assistant Professor in the School of Nursing, Health, and Exercise Science in the Graduate Nursing Program.   Dr. Dugan received her BSN in Nursing from York College of PA in 1993; her MSN in Nursing from Villanova University in 2001; her Post-Master’s in Nursing from LaSalle University in 2002; and her DNP in Nursing from LaSalle University in 2015.  Dr. Dugan practices as a nationally certified Family Nurse Practitioner at La Salle University’s Student Health Center. She has worked in advanced practice areas for over 18 years and nursing for over 26 years. She completed her doctoral work on the “Effect of a Concussion Teaching Plan for High School and College Student-Athletes and Coaches on Knowledge of Concussion Prevention Strategies, Assessment of Head Injuries, and Treatment Guidelines after the First Injury.” She continues her professional work and presentation in caring for the concussed patient. Dr. Dugan’s scholarly and research interests are: Concussion, Depression, Infectious Diseases, Family Practice, and Inter-professional Activities.
