About Jacqui Ioli, PhD, APN, PPCNP-BC


Dr. Jacqui Ioli is an assistant professor of nursing at The College of New Jersey and joined the department in August of 2017.  She is a consulting clinical specialist consultant for Greater Philadelphia Health Action, Inc. (GPHA) in Philadelphia, PA, a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) where she maintains a clinical practice as a pediatric nurse practitioner, nursing supervisor, and electronic medical record project manager with industry certification in the electronic medical record, NextGen EMR.  In her consulting work at GPHA, Dr. Ioli focuses on quality, safety, and risk management including expertise in the Federal Tort Claims Act, the medical malpractice insurance for FQHCs.  Dr. Ioli has over 20 years’ experience as a pediatric nurse practitioner in the specialties of primary care, hematology, and pre-anesthesia/sedation.  Addition, Dr. Ioli has over 10 years of staff nurse experience in the critical care of adults, children, and neonates including emergency transport.

Dr. Ioli has over seven years teaching experience several BSN programs, most recently at Immaculata University and Pennsylvania State University. She teaches courses in Public Health, Nursing Theory and Research, Nursing Fundamentals, and Pediatrics.

Dr. Ioli received her BSN from Thomas Jefferson University, her MSN from the La Salle University, her post Master’s Certificate as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner from the University of Pennsylvania, her Legal Nurse Consulting Certificate from Manor College, and her PhD from Widener University. Dr. Ioli’s dissertation, entitled A Substantive Theory of Primary Health Care RNs, was funded by the Eta Beta Chapter of Sigma Theta Tau and the Pennsylvania-Delaware Valley Chapters of the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners.  She is certified as a pediatric primary care nurse practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center and has active licenses in Pennsylvania and New Jersey as a registered nurse and nurse practitioner with prescriptive authority.  She has published and spoken at local, regional and national levels in the areas of pediatrics, immunizations, and hematology.
