Post-Master’s Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP)

The Post-MSN Family Nurse Practitioner Certificate is for MSN-prepared nurses who wish to pursue advanced practice in family health. Students must complete the program within six years of being accepted.


33-credit degree program/715 practicum hours/35 hours of health assessment clinical

Post-Master’s Adult/Gerontological Primary Care Nurse Practitioner

The Post-MSN Adult/Gerontological Primary Care Nurse Practitioner Certificate is for MSN-prepared nurses with an interest in pursuing advanced practice in adult/elderly primary care. Students must complete the program within six years of being accepted.


37-credit degree program/585 practicum hours/35 hours of health assessment clinical

Post-Master’s Family Nurse Practitioner: Specialist NP

The Post-MSN Family Nurse Practitioner Certificate is designed for the master’s-prepared, certified nurse practitioner who specializes in adult or geriatric primary care who wishes to complete a course of study leading to a Family Nurse Practitioner Post-Master’s Certificate.


11.5-credit degree program/200 hours of specialty clinical practicum 

Post-Masters DNP: Articulation with Rutgers

Graduates of TCNJ’s MSN nurse practitioner programs may apply to Rutgers Doctor of Nursing Practice program through an articulation agreement to help ensure smooth credit transfer. This agreement provides for the transfer of up to 6 TCNJ credits to Rutgers as partial fulfillment of the requirements for the DNP clinical or leadership tracks.
