Congratulations to the Department of Nursing and especially Sharen Clugston as the director of the RN to BSN for being recognized as one of the best program in New Jersey!

This was the official notice.

RegisteredNursing.org – a nursing advocacy organization, has notified us that The College of New Jersey’s RN program has been ranked as one of the best in New Jersey!#9 Ranked Nursing Program in New Jersey: https://www.registerednursing.org/state/new-jersey/#rankings

They ranked programs based on thier were assessment of several factors;  how well a program supports students towards licensure and beyond, first time NCLEX-RN “pass-rates” – weighted by year etc.

Congratulations to Drs. Carolina Borges, Sharon Byrne, Connie Kartoz on the acceptance of their abstract “The College of New Jersey Public Health and Nursing Departments Working Together in Haiti:  Turning Higher Education Into Global Action.”  This poster will be presented at the International Health Conference at St. Hugh’s College in Oxford, England.

Our School is on a role this Spring!

Congratulations to Dr. Gerry Altimiller for the publication of her article “NLN Partners with QSEN to Conduct a National Fculty Surey:  Results Shed Light on State of QSEN Integration in Prelicensure Nursing Programs.  Just published in this edition of Nursing Education Perspectives.

Dr. Jacqui Ioli was slected to be a member of the American Academy of Ambulatory Care Nurses Program Planning Committee.  Well done!

Dr. Sharon Byrne had an abstract accepted for the Leadership Connection 2018.  The abstract entitled “Applying Evidence-Based practice to Advance leadership in Practice Among Graduate Nursing Students” will be presented in September.

Norma Brown was awarded a Career Development Grant.  This will expand her expertise in simulations.
